EDITION 2024

DECEMBER 4-8

In 2024 Los Cabos International Film Festival returned after a forced break in 2023. Under the theme Cinema Encounters, the Festival expanded its reach to San José del Cabo, with new venues like Crania, the Jardín Escultórico Puerto Los Cabos, Hotel El Ganzo, and Plaza Mijares. It also held activities at Cinemex Puerto Paraíso in Cabo San Lucas. This edition focused on national cinema through the Encuadres Mexicanos program, which featured eleven recently produced feature films. In addition, two discussions were held: Mexico: A Cinema Without Borders and From the Cinema to the Pocket: Audiences, Screens, and Accessibility in the Digital Era. The Festival also hosted the Film in Development Workshop for Filmmakers from Baja California Sur to support regional audiovisual creators. This year, the Gabriel Figueroa Film Fund supported debut and second films, while the La Baja Inspira Itinerant free cinema series continued its journey through Cabo San Lucas, Ciudad Insurgentes, El Triunfo, Guerrero Negro, La Paz, Loreto, San José del Cabo, Todos Santos, Tijuana, and Mexicali.
