LOS CABOS+
LosCabos+ is the space where some of the Festival’s initiatives coexist, whose purpose is to contribute to the analysis regarding different issues, to promote the exchange of ideas, and to the professionalization of the film industry beyond the screens through different initiatives such as:
Through the Film Criticism Competition, we seek to provide a unique opportunity for film enthusiasts who find in criticism a means to make their point of view heard. In each edition, we launch a call for entries from which 10 talents are selected and given the opportunity to receive mentoring by prominent national critics in a bid to further their professional careers as future film critics.

The exchange of ideas with students is a priority within our mission as promoters of critical and proactive thought with respect to our audience’s individual and collective environment.
With this momentum that we have generated, in 2021 we launched a conversation program, which involves the student audience and allows for interaction with them, through valuable partnerships with two of the most important universities in Mexico: the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and the Anáhuac University.
With the TEC de Monterrey we organized the talk: Streaming platforms: the new majors beguiling the festivals?, and with the Anáhuac University: The path of women in the film industry.
