The wait is over, and finally, starting on February 27, we will be able to enjoy Better Man on the big screens in our country.
Directed by Australian filmmaker Michael Gracey, known for his work on The Greatest Showman and as the producer of Rocketman, Better Man is a deeply emotional musical journey through the life of British singer Robbie Williams. It traces his childhood and rise to stardom as a member of the successful boy band Take That, as well as his successful solo career. While showing us how along the way, Williams faces the challenges of fame, self-sabotage, and excess.
Since its announcement, the film has generated great anticipation because Williams himself decided not to be portrayed physically by an actor, but for his character to appear with the appearance of an ape, a choice that reflects his sense of humor and unique vision of fame. This decision gave the film a touch of originality and surrealism.
The Latin American premiere of Better Man was the title that opened our 2024 edition, with an outdoor screening in Crania, a unique space in Los Cabos that combines art, music, gastronomy, and sustainability. Surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the area, where the desert meets the sea, attendees were able to enjoy this highly anticipated release in a special screening.
