After its successful screening at the Los Cabos International Film Festival: Film Encounters, Corina, directed by Mexican filmmaker Urzula Barba Hopfner and starring Naian Norvind, finally arrives at commercial cinemas across the country.
Corina is a shy young woman whose fear of leaving her home leads her to live in isolation, only venturing out to work at a publishing house just a few meters from her home. After making a grave mistake that jeopardizes the publication of the most important book for the publishing house, she must face her own fears and embark on a journey beyond her usual boundaries. With the help of Carlos, the barista at the only café she visits, she will try to find the enigmatic writer and save not only her job but also the future of her colleagues.
Corina was part of Encuadres Mexicanos, a section presented in the 2024 edition of the Los Cabos International Film Festival, which featured 11 feature films that highlighted the narrative and visual richness of Mexican cinema. Its commercial release is a unique opportunity for all movie lovers to enjoy one of the most promising productions of the year.
